Seneca Skyway

This is not an official byway but it is fantastic! This loop runs US-219 north from Lewisburg through the Potomac Highlands to Tucker County, then WV-92 back south to Lewisburg. The route passes Blackwater Falls State Park, Seneca Rocks, and Spruce Knob, threading through mountain towns including Lewisburg, Thomas, Elkins, and White Sulphur Springs. It was built for cars and motorcycles as the first designated route in West Virginia's Mountain Rides program. Plan for six hours, and download directions before you leave. Cell service goes away for stretches.
