FAQ

I can use a van for free? Really?

Yes, if you qualify then you can borrow a van for free, as long as you provide us with some daily photos and video while you are on the road, so we can tell a little bit of your travel story. Fill out the application form to get started.

Do I have to use the Overlook app while I’m on my trip?

We will briefly train you on how to get the most out of Overlook, so you can use it alongside the other tools you rely on. We're sure it will help you find the very best things to do and eat on your journey.

How long can I have a van for?

4 to 14 days is our suggested trip length.

How does it work?

You can either (1) start and end your trip in Denver and do a loop of 4-14 days, or you can (2) have a van delivered to/near your hometown, and we’ll pick the destination for you adventure (and we’ll fly you home at the end).

Why did you pick these old VW camper vans?

These are great looking, charming, wonderfully versatile, and easy-to-drive vehicles. New enough to be safe, old enough to be vintage cool. Everyone loves them! Iconic from the moment they were released in 1950, they have not been sold in the US since 2003. They give you feelings of openness, good vibes, and adventure whenever you drive them, look at them, or hear people tell you stories about them from back in the day.

Are they reliable?

Yes, these vans are well taken care of by specialists who know them inside and out.
