This is not an official byway but it is fantastic! A long limestone ridge runs between Blanco and Wimberley, eroded over millions of years into the shape of a spine — that's where the name comes from. FM 32 narrows as it rides the ridge, climbing, dipping, and curving along the ridgeline for about 30 miles from Wimberley to Blanco, with tree breaks that open to Hill Country views below.
