A gravel route along the South Fork John Day Wild and Scenic River near Malheur National Forest. Passes 56-foot Izee Falls, basalt cliffs from 16-million-year-old flows, and the Murderer's Creek Herd Management Area with wild "timber horses." Also the Izee ghost town with its 1889 schoolhouse. High-clearance suggested.
