A route from the ruins of 1860 Fort Churchill (built to protect Pony Express riders) west along the Carson River through Dayton, then south over the Pine Nut Mountains and the Como Mining District to Wellington. Follows the Pony Express Trail. High-clearance 4WD recommended on the Dayton-Wellington segment.
