Also known as the Sea Island Scenic Highway, this lazy Lowcountry drive takes you through the culturally-rich Gullah Country. The area is characterized by expansive vistas and natural beauty. Hunting Island State Park, located at the end of the route, is one of South Carolina's best seaside preserves and is home to the famous Hunting Island Light House. This iconic lighthouse is the only one in the state that is publicly accessible. Visitors can stand 130 feet above the ground to take in breathtaking, panoramic views of the Atlantic Coast and surrounding maritime forest.
