Washington State's Ultimate Road Trip is a 440-mile National Scenic Byway that begins just north of Seattle and loops over the Cascades mountains, along the semi-arid Columbia River Valley, past glacier-fed Lake Chelan, through the North Cascades National Park and back over the mountains through the Skagit Valley to the Puget Sound where Orca whales play and beachcombing abounds. The Eastern regions of the Loop experience four seasons, and the Western regions enjoy temperate weather all year. We are an adventurous scenic highway. We are a path into nature, a road through friendly towns and a rest stop at the end of the day with comfortable lodging and delicious Northwest cuisine.
