Starting just north of the Town of Walhalla in Oconee County, this byway is located primarily in the Sumter National Forest and has little development but loads of recreational opportunities. Located along the route are the Isaqueena Falls, Stumphouse Mountain Tunnel, Oconee State Park, the Chattooga Fish Hatchery and the Oscar Wigington Overlook, which has breathtaking views of Lake Jocassee from a 2,000 foot elevation.
