Named for William Clark, of Lewis and Clark Expedition fame, this drive winds across Glacier County and follows the Clark Fork River as it changes from wide and peaceful to a whitewater thrill ride in sections. To get to this byway, follow the St Regis-Paradise Scenic Byway through the Lolo National Forest and at Paradise continue on MT-200 W towards Thompson Falls. Watch for wildlife, especially elk wintering areas, and the many dams on the Clark Fork River- Thompson Falls Dam, Noxon Rapids Dam, and Cabinet Gorge Dam.
