Alaska Railroad
This is the driving version of this route.
Alaska’s main line railroad is 470 miles of track extending from Seward to the interior of Fairbanks. Year-round passenger service between Anchorage and Fairbanks is extended southward to Seward in the summer. Amenities (not on all routes) include glass-domed luxury railcars, gourmet cuisine, and overnight adventure and sightseeing packages. This is one of the last “flag stop” passenger rail lines in the U.S., meaning the train will stop where and whenever passengers want to get on or off. Watch for mountains, glaciers, beluga whales, and Denali National Park as you ride across the Alaska wilderness.
