Town Tours

School groups visit the Bale Grist Mill in the spring and fall. The Millers give tours on weekends and some Monday holidays, operating a magnificent 1850's working flour mill with an impressive 36 foot waterwheel.

This fully restored water-powered grist mill offers an intriguing look into California's history and the marvels of early pioneer inventions.

The historic Hellman-Ehrman Estate (also known as Pine Lodge) is available for tours in the summer months. The mansion provides an interesting view into the lifestyles of the wealthy on Lake Tahoe.
