A Professional Actor/Director, Musical Director, Choreographer, and Voice Coach will lead 18 performers through the rehearsals and performance of a cabaret. Join us for one fun and skill-packed week of Musical Theater. All performers will perform in a solo and two group numbers in the Cabaret. Every student will receive private voice lessons along with performance coaching for their solo. Performers will quickly discover the difference between acting in a chorus and acting as a soloist. In addition, performers develop the skills to make focus changes, base changes, and gestures, all while connecting with their interpretation of the song.

Through theatre games, movement, and playful storytelling activities, students will create brand-new characters inspired by their own ideas and the world around them. Along the way, campers will laugh, collaborate, and experiment as they discover how a simple spark of imagination can grow into something truly magical.With guidance and encouragement, students will build confidence while exploring acting fundamentals, teamwork, and creative expression. As the week progresses, ideas turn into scenes, scenes turn into a play, and campers experience the excitement of bringing an original story to life.Story to Stage concludes with a performance on Friday at 2:30 pm at the Uptown Knauer Performing Arts Center. Family and friends are invited to attend free of charge.
