Volunteer at THEARC Farm – planting, weeding, growing

A hidden oasis at THEARC, our farm is home to a fruit orchard, mushroom logs, greenhouses and dozens of growing beds with vegetables, herbs and flowers. Every Tuesday we choose a spot that needs our attention to help the plants grow.

If you choose only one day to volunteer, choose this one. It's the best combination of outdoors and indoors, quiet and busy, and you get to see the food from the moment you pick it off the plant to the smiles on faces when you give it away.

Food and Farm Fridays at THEARC

THEARC Farmers harvest vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers from our network of farms in Southeast DC and bring them to you for free every Friday! Capital Area Food Bank donates thousands of pounds of fresh produce. DC Central Kitchen gives out prepared meals.
