In this colorful workshop, we'll be making inks from forged plants like oak galls, acorn caps, and hibiscus blossoms. We'll also produce watercolors from earth pigments, including ochres, clays and rocks.

Students in this course will learn the elegant book structure developed by bookbinder Gary Frost. This book structure makes an excellent sketchbook or journal because it lies flat when opened, and is a sturdy and easily recreated book structure.
