The Field House Museum

The Field House Museum is pleased to welcome author and historian Dr. John Wright Sr. to discuss his book, Carondelet, and explore the storied past of one of St. Louis’ oldest neighborhoods. Dr. Wright is a Fulbright Scholar, educator, and historian who has written books ranging from the study of some of St. Louis’ most storied neighborhoods to detailed collections of African American history.

Dick Benach performs as Junior Officer Robert Zavel, who was assigned to the security detail protecting President Lincoln at the Summer White House. Benach will share personal memories and read some of the President’s oral and written messages addressed to the people and country he loved so well.
