Tinariwen did not come up from a club circuit or a college radio station. They came up from exile, military camps, and the open desert of the Sahara, playing music rooted in traditional Tamashek music that runs through the bones of the blues.

Pokey LaFarge has been chasing the ghost of pre-war America for two decades now, stitching together early jazz, ragtime, country blues, Western swing, and more. His music features twanging guitars, plucky rhythms, and melodies that swing and soar, offering heartfelt, no-nonsense social commentary.

Monsieur Periné is a Bogotá-based collective whose sound is a beautiful collision of cumbia, bolero, 1930s Parisian jazz, danzón, pop, and tango. Anchored by singer Catalina García and multi-instrumentalist Santiago Prieto, they bring a genre-defying performance to The Concert Hall.
