Catching the Moon, a blues-infused musical, tells the spirited story of a young Black girl who grew up to become “Toni Stone,” the first woman to play for an all-male professional baseball team. Bursting with rhythm, drive, and heart, it celebrates the power of determination, the thrill of the game, and the courage it takes to change it forever.

On an autumn afternoon, in an empty lot outside the city, seven girls meet up to do a play. The girls are witches, ghosts, and kings. They hurl headlong into the unchecked passions of Macbeth—in Shakespeare’s original text—as the line between real life and blood fantasy quickly blurs.
