This is an inspiring new Theater of Witness production by Artistic Director Teya Sepinuck in collaboration with the performers – six women in their 70’s and 80’s from diverse racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds.

Set in a small-town Ohio rec center in the early 1970s, Liberation follows a group of women who come together for a consciousness-raising meeting. As stories unfold about work, marriage, motherhood, race, desire, and ambition, the room becomes a place of courage, laughter, conflict, and possibility.
