Shinyribs reassembles the American song bag like a picker in a junkyard, filtering Texas singer-songwriter, East Tx blues, Louisiana swamp n’ rhythm, honkytonk, Oklahoma swing, Golden-Triangle Cajun, and Arkansas jazz through the singular vision of Kevin Russell. The Austin-based supergroup has entered a bold new chapter with the small baller “Shortribs” configuration, showcasing Russell’s legendary songwriting, iconic voice, and the infamous hi-jinks of the self-proclaimed world’s oldest living male exotic dancer.

Gary P. Nunn has been TAKING TEXAS TO THE COUNTRY and Texas country to the world for some 40 years now, establishing himself as an icon of Lone Star music. A founding father of the progressive country movement out of Austin in the 1970s, Nunn is a Texas music institution.

Michael Martin Murphey’s musical journey has taken many unpredictable paths over the past 50 years, topping the Pop, Country, Western and Bluegrass charts. A loyal American son from Texas, he is best known for his chart-topping hits such as “Wildfire” and “Carolina In The Pines.”
