Led by Nikhil Yerawadekar (Antibalas, Akoya Afrobeat, Low Mentality), LIVING LANGUAGE pays homage to Fela Kuti and his Afrobeat concept in a nimble, soulful jazz format. The band’s sound features undeniable grooves and powerful melodies to motivate the people.

Ubiquitous Brazilian bassist Eduardo Belo leads “The Beasts” playing original compositions deeply rooted in Brazilian grooves and melodies — a modern view on classic Brazilian traditions. Belo is a highly versatile player who has shared the stage with Michel Camilo, Romero Lubambo, Lee Konitz, Chico Pinheiro, Duduka da Fonseca, Pedro Martins, Bebel Gilberto and many others.

Max Light is an adventuresome guitarist and he WILL take flight tonight. His most recent release — “Chaotic Neutral” on AGS Recordings — was called “complex, shrouded in mystery and endlessly intriguing” and “essentially a master class in cutting paths through tricky meters” by Downbeat Magazine.
