Lower East Side Printshop

This advanced screenprinting course will build on the basics, exploring speed, transparency, flexibility, mimicry, and combination in screenprinting. Students will create digital prepress/mockups, learn precise 3-4 layer print registration, and explore monoprinting techniques.

This 4-week introductory course will familiarize students with etching, aquatint, and drypoint printing techniques. Students will learn to prepare their own copper plate for etching and will feel comfortable in choosing intaglio techniques suitable to their artistic styles.

This course is for beginners and those who want to brush up on their printmaking skills, covering traditional and nontraditional methods for planning and printing an image.
