The Chicago Jazz Band was the creation of jazz pianist James Dapogny (1940-2019). When it came to New Orleans jazz, Jelly Roll Morton was the originator, master, and its most outstanding composer and soloist.

The inaugural performance of The Chisholm Jazz Legacy Series features a special appearance by the Jeff Hamilton Trio, led by one of jazz's most celebrated drummers. With a career spanning over five decades, Jeff Hamilton has performed and/or recorded with Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Brown, Oscar Peterson, Diana Krall, Rosemary Clooney, and Natalie Cole, among many others.

Barron Ryan's Classic Meets Cool is a lively journey of great piano music including classical, jazz, and pop, plus new compositions infused with modern influences like country, soul, and funk. This isn't your typical recital; it's a concert that can make audiences laugh, dance, and discover something new all at once.
