The atmosphere here is cozy and welcoming, with a monumental, temple-like aesthetic. You'll find yourself immersed in Frank Lloyd Wright's "California Romanza" style, with stylized hollyhock motifs integrated into the cast-concrete, leaded glass, and furniture.
Commissioned by oil heiress Aline Barnsdall, this was Frank Lloyd Wright's first Los Angeles project and is the only Wright residence in the city open to the public. It's also Los Angeles’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for its significant contribution to 20th-century architecture.
