A Change of Scenery features new works from Japanese artist Ryoko Kaneta, a leading figure among Japan’s emerging artists who bases her work on ancient Japanese philosophies. Using acrylic paint, Kaneta portrays female figures to symbolize elements of nature and the dramatic transformations of the seasons in a dreamlike style.

Boundary, featuring new works from Miho Hirano, explores themes of sensuality, femininity, and the unknown by portraying beautiful women whose physical features blend with the nature surrounding them. By depicting the ‘border’ between life and death in her work, Hirano expresses the precariousness and the ‘point of contact’ where the living and the dead come into contact and have a dialogue with their souls.
