About

An iconic example of modernist architecture, this octagonal home was designed by architect John Lautner in 1960 for aerospace engineer Leonard Malin. It's famously perched atop a twenty-nine-foot high, five-foot-wide concrete column, resembling a flying saucer on a stick.
