Stepping inside, the air is immediately softened by the skylit atrium, illuminating intricate ironwork, red-oak trim, and pink marble staircases. It’s an architectural jewel, “bathed in diffuse natural light from a skylight roof,” creating a calming, almost ethereal atmosphere.
Behind its modest exterior lies a magical, light-filled Victorian court, open cage elevators, marble stairs, and ornate iron railings that make it one of downtown's most photographed icons. This architectural landmark was inspired by an 1880s science fiction tale and built by mining millionaire Lewis Bradbury.
