In this one-week in-person Summer Institute for Teachers, educators will explore how art can serve as a tool for inquiry across disciplines. The course meets daily, on Monday-Friday, from 10:15 am-1 pm.
Selected artworks from the Juried Invitational will be featured in an exhibition. The invitational is open to artists ages 18 and older who currently reside in the Washington, DC–Baltimore metropolitan areas.
This exhibition tells the story of the lifelong friendship between Milton Avery, Adolph Gottlieb, and Mark Rothko, highlighting the inspiration they derived from summers in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
