The Metropolitan Opera’s Met Orchestra and Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin present a sumptuous all-Strauss programme that includes the final scene of the composer’s Salome, performed with celebrated South African soprano Elza van den Heever.

For their second concert of the season The Met Orchestra is joined by Joyce DiDonato for Mahler’s Rückert- Lieder. We also heard the composer’s nature-loving Symphony No. 4 and Kaija Saariaho’s Lumière et pesanteur.

Scottish composer Erland Cooper leads an intimate late-night sequence inspired by Radio 3 Unwind’s Ultimate Calm series. A serene sequence for the night hours.
