Printmaker and book artist Sarah Matthews’s new exhibit *uter(us) is a series of letterpress prints and artists’ books created as part of her 2026 Visiting Artist residency at Hatch Show Print. The project examines women’s health through the language of medicine, exploring the words and phrases physicians and nurses use when speaking to patients.

Transform authentic Hatch Show Print make-readies—the misprints and multi-layered prints made while preparing a poster for its final print run—into a one-of-a-kind sculptural flag book. Led by 2026 Hatch Show Print Visiting Artist Sarah Matthews, you will explore the creative intersection of print, collage, and bookbinding.

Sarah Jarosz is a six-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. She is currently featured with I’m With Her in the museum’s current exhibition American Currents: State of the Music.
