What's happening
Over the course of 5 fast paced days, you will create 5 projects, learning new techniques in complex pattern bars, plate design, using rods, sliders, 2mm glass design, color choice, layering, and tack fusing. Advanced coldworking techniques, firing schedules, kiln programming, and best practices in the studio will also be covered.
Explore layering transparent glass, learning about saturation, color, tonality, strikers, and reactions. This 5-day workshop will teach multiple techniques through various projects.
In this dynamic class students will learn how to make a variety of twisted cane patterns and murrini which will then be incorporated into two beautiful projects. Students will have the opportunity to pull the cane using a vitrigraph kiln and learn all the tricks and techniques to get consistent results.
