The Glass Underground

This intensive workshop will teach students how to use glass powders to draw two-dimensional imagery in glass. Kelly will teach you how to use glass to interpret line, value, contrast, texture, color, and composition.

Over the course of 5 fast paced days, you will create 5 projects, learning new techniques in complex pattern bars, plate design, using rods, sliders, 2mm glass design, color choice, layering, and tack fusing. Advanced coldworking techniques, firing schedules, kiln programming, and best practices in the studio will also be covered.

Explore layering transparent glass, learning about saturation, color, tonality, strikers, and reactions. This 5-day workshop will teach multiple techniques through various projects.
