The Back Room

The Back Room is proud to welcome Tony Saunders, who will showcase his new band featuring Vernon Hall, John Mitchell, Tim Landis, and Rhay Roland. The band will be playing music from his catalog, which includes chart-topping hits like 'Rock Steady' and 'And The Beat Goes On.'

Six student ensembles perform over the course of the afternoon, ranging from entry-level to professional levels. Ensemble leader Clark Suprynowicz is a bassist and composer who has played with artists including Tom Waits, John Zorn, and Bill Frisell.

Pianist William Beatty revisits songs written in the late Sixties, and songs from along the way, inspired by the vinyl LPs that played at 1011 Fountain Walk. The performance features Kyra Kozlenko, Ashley Garlick, Bruno Coon, and student combos The Pineapple Express and FountainRock Ensemble.
