Aimed at young animal lovers, Junior Keepers programs introduce children to the daily responsibilities of zookeepers through games, animal interactions, and guided tours. Kids will meet ambassador animals up close, learn about their care, and explore zoo exhibits.

For older children and teens, Intro to ZooKeeping programs provide deeper insight into animal care and husbandry. Participants assist in real keeper tasks, explore behind-the-scenes aspects, and engage with educators and animals in the classroom.

The Central Park Zoo offers specially designed early childhood programs that provide toddlers and their caregivers with fun, engaging ways to explore wildlife and nature together. These "Caregiver & Me" sessions focus on interactive learning, sensory experiences, and close-up animal encounters—all tailored for children ages 2 to 3 years.
