Ringwood Manor State Park

Join local historian, Tom Riley, for a presentation about the present-day Pompton Lakes area and its multitude of connections to the Revolutionary War. Discussion will include the beacon warning system, the Pompton Mutiny, & troop movements and encampments in the area.

October’s presentation is all about the Borough’s first church and six local, but largely forgotten, cemeteries. Discussion will include information on the historic Ringwood Manor cemetery and the one that were relocated due to the creation of the Wanaque & Monksville Reservoirs: Erskine, Brown, Board, Monks, & Ryerson cemeteries.
