Connect with other cultures through rhythm and drumming at Daf Drum Circle!Musician Jalal Kimia will introduce the Persian Daf hand-drumming tradition in an inclusive environment where people of any background and ability can meet, greet, and connect with each other through the Daf. The Daf Circle is more than just a drumming program, it's an opportunity to generate and communicate positive energy, while also learning about the Daf in a social setting. This program presents a unique opportunity for people to get in touch with the Daf, and play and experience its magical sound. Come experience the power of drum therapy! Everyone is welcome to come and express themselves regardless of their drumming experience. Bring a friend, bring two friends!Instruments will be provided. This program is appropriate for all ages. Jalal Kimia a skilled Persian percussionist from Iran, commenced his musical journey under the guidance of mentors Dariush Eshaghi, Meysam Afshin, and later, Pejman Hadadi. As a dedicated music educator, he founded the Kimia Percussion Academy and leads the renowned Rumi Daf Ensemble. Alongside his contributions to education and ensemble leadership, Jalal has performed with many bands in various music genres since 1999. Through performances, workshops, and community drum circles, he demonstrates his passion and expertise, fostering a global appreciation for Persian percussion
