Leonardo is a terrible monster who tries so hard to be scary, but he just…isn’t. Based on the books by Mo Willems, this production uses hundreds of puppets and props to bring the story to life and discover why making friends doesn’t have to be scary.

When a 10-year-old boy named Xavier has to go live with his uncle, they must navigate family issues and strong emotions. Discovering a mutual love of superheroes, they decide to take a trip to the world's most famous Comic Con, exploring if cosplay can help them find their real selves in this exciting and heartfelt world premiere work.

Before each show, ticket holders can meet representatives from Reading Partners and participate in Read to Succeed: Book Swap.
