From his current work in the Stick Arounds and Harborcoat, to his previous stints in The Pantones and Third Uncle, Carlson has spent a lifetime writing songs filled with vivid characters, detailed worlds, and personal touches.

The Fatty Acids are a Milwaukee-based rock band known for their energetic, genre-bending "scramble-pop". Formed in 2008 in Riverwest, a block away from Linneman's, the group built a dedicated following with their self-produced albums and dynamic live shows. Their September 2026 shows will be the first time playing live in a decade.

Owner Jim Linneman and a carpenter friend spent eight months remodeling the space before officially opening the doors in the summer of 1993. The venue has since become a cornerstone of the neighborhood, known for its deep community roots and hosts of events like poetry readings and open mic nights.story_potoo
