Learning Sundays is MOCA’s free, monthly, family-friendly arts learning program, held on the first Sunday of each month. For this session, teaching artist Ling-Yu Chou will guide participants in traditional Chinese knotting and the creation of Spring Festival couplets (春聯).

The first project is a commission of Arturo Herrera, an artist based in Berlin, whose practice intertwines pop and queer iconography, gestural marks, and nonrepresentational shapes. His wall painting will be on view in September 2026 as part of Fourth Wall, a series of wall drawings, murals and wall paintings at MOCA Tucson.

Join us for an evening at MOCA with galleries open late, live music by KXCI Community Radio, a local food truck, and drinks by Brick Box Brewery! This month, celebrate the release of the 6th edition of the Sonoran Desert School Gardeners’ Almanac.
