WINDWARD brings to life Fogo Island’s striking geological formations, unique climate, and austere beauty in the latest work by Sharon Lockhart. Filmed on the windswept northern face of the remote island off the coast of Newfoundland, the piece is organized as twelve short tableaus depicting delicate portraits of local children as they play and move across the landscape.

About REDCAT

The Roy and Edna Disney CalArts Theater (REDCAT) was not part of the original plans for the Walt Disney Concert Hall complex, but was later added after Roy E. Disney saw an opportunity for CalArts to have a downtown presence. Its distinctive curvilinear stainless steel and neon marquee was designed by Frank Gehry, who also designed the Concert Hall.story
