In celebration of National Poetry Month, the O.B. Hardison Poetry Series is launching its inaugural National Poetry Month Reading with American Book Award winner Matthew Shenoda. Shenoda will read from previous works, as well as his new collection Holdings, to be released by Knopf in April 2027.
To close this special anniversary season, Folger Consort returns to the music of its very first season, much of which has canonical status in the early music world. Featuring music from the Consort’s original ensemble of instrumental quartet and voice, this concert will journey from 13th-century Spain and Portugal through 14th-century Italy and 15th-century Paris and Vienna, and concludes with the music of Elizabethan and Jacobean England, the era of Shakespeare.
