“Through the Perilous Fight”: The Star-Spangled Banner First Edition

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts preserves a first edition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” in its Music and Recorded Sound Division. In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, the Library will display the music manuscript, which is among only 11 known extant copies.
