The Newberry Opera House is thrilled to introduce its first annual “Opera-tion: Hauntober” on October 31, 2026, a free community event designed to bring families together for an evening of cinematic magic and spooky fun. The evening features a diverse double feature cinema series catered to all audiences, including a PG-rated comedy classic “Hocus Pocus” and the R-rated masterpiece “The Shining.”
The beloved holiday film The Polar Express returns to the big screen to offer families a cozy and magical seasonal experience. This heartwarming 2004 animated classic follows a young boy who embarks on an extraordinary journey to the North Pole after a colossal, gleaming steam train stops outside his window.
