In celebration of the centennial of trumpeter Miles Davis, the Marcus Shelby Nonet presents Birth of the Cool: Revisited, featuring music from the groundbreaking Davis recording performed in its original instrumentation. The nonet consists of nine San Francisco Bay Area master musicians, all of whom are a part of the Marcus Shelby New Orchestra.
