Kick off your weekend with a happy hour tour of ICA LA’s current exhibitions, led by our Curatorial and Learning & Engagement Getty Marrow Undergraduate Interns Nina Fandino Schmidt and Regina Lee. Following the walkthrough there will be a mixer with light refreshments, where emerging and current arts professionals can chat and connect with each other.
Join ICA LA for a POV Tour of Speaking in Tongues led by artist Miljohn Ruperto. Through an interdisciplinary practice that draws from art, science, history, and mythology, Ruperto examines how systems of knowledge shape our understanding of the world around us.
Join us in celebrating Tierra Sagrada: L.A. is an Altar and an Offering—an exhibition catalogue published in conjunction with the Fellows of Contemporary Art 2025 Curators Lab exhibition of the same name. The publication both documents and expands upon themes exploring the relationship between placemaking and the sacred, centering the city of Los Angeles and its Latinx diasporas.
Join ICA LA members for an evening of making with artist, fabricator, and community organizer jinseok choi. Drawing from his ongoing participatory project Between Our Palms, members are invited to reimagine sawdust collected from choi’s woodworking labor into unique handcrafted incense sculptures.
