LexPhil opens the orchestra’s 65th anniversary season with a homecoming celebration! The evening begins with Clarice Assad’s Baião 'n Blues followed by Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto featuring Lexington-native Ania Lewis, and concludes with Music Director Mélisse Brunet leading the orchestra in Anton Dvořák’s monumental Symphony No. 9 “From the New World”.

Eli Winter is a composer, self-taught guitarist, essayist, and Houston native whose music synthesizes aspects of folk, rock, jazz, and devotional music. His trio features Chicago improvisers Sam Wagster of Fruit Bats (pedal steel guitar) and Tyler Damon of Circuit des Yeux (drums).
