From Plantation to Emancipation Historic House Tour

Asia Society Philippines invites you to an exclusive, immersive journey through the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan from 7 to 14 September 2026. This curated experience offers a rare opportunity to engage deeply with Bhutan’s landscapes, living traditions, and spiritual heritage.

During your tour of three historic houses that tell Houston’s stories from plantation to emancipation, the talented actor brings the hardships of slavery and the victory of freedom to life in dramatic reenactments. Starring Kijana Wiseman, M.Ed., these 90-minute tours explore UNESCO designated Sites of Memory including the 1847 Kellum-Noble House, 1866 Fourth Ward Cottage, and 1870 Yates House.

Join us on the second Saturday of each month in front of the Nature Center building for a two-hour bird survey led by Arboretum staff members.
