In celebration of the centennial of John Coltrane, saxophonist Marcus Elliot presents a reimagining of one of Coltrane’s most visionary works, Africa/Brass. Featuring newly commissioned arrangements by composer and arranger Kris Johnson, this project reinterprets selections from the landmark Africa/Brass album through the lens of contemporary improvisation and orchestration.
