Young Frankenstein is a 1974 comedy film directed by Mel Brooks and co-written by Brooks and Gene Wilder. The black-and-white movie stars Wilder as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, a reluctant American medical lecturer who inherits his infamous grandfather’s Transylvanian estate and winds up repeating his reanimation experiments.
