Docent Tour

Learn about the people who have lived along Duwamish head and Admiral district, attempts to erase Coast Salish people from residing here, and the annexation of “West Seattle” to the larger city in 1907. The tour will be two hours in length, will include one and a half miles of walking, and involves some elevation and disrupted walking paths.

Your tour begins at Belvedere Park at the corner of 37th Ave and Admiral Way. Learn about the people who have lived along Duwamish head and Admiral district, attempts to erase Coast Salish people from residing here, and the annexation of “West Seattle” to the larger city in 1907.

Reserve your spot for a guided tour of our galleries offered Fridays in July and August. Tours are led by our staff and host a small group of up to 20 guests.
