Damn Yankees is the classic American musical comedy about baseball, the devil, and the price of a deal made in desperation. Set in 1955 Washington, D.C., the show follows Joe Boyd, a devoted Senators fan who sells his soul to Applegate — the Devil himself — in exchange for the chance to become Joe Hardy, the young slugger who will finally lead his beloved team to victory over the Yankees.
