Pianist Jacqueline Schwab, heard on Ken Burns’ recent PBS series, performs a special version of her newest program Be the Light! This Highfield performance spotlights Falmouth native Katharine Lee Bates, who in 1893 wrote the words for the anthem America the Beautiful. The program includes vintage music of American immigrants from the British Isles, Western and Eastern Europe and Latin America, along with spirituals and other American music.
